-I also do not support using hacked clients in servers where they are not allowed. Please do not use this tutorial to hack for PVP advantages. It's a cheap move.-
Hello little internet peoples ^_^ Today, I'm going to show you guys how to download and install hacked clients on a Mac. Because Mac>Windows, and this is not open for debate. So, yeah, I know this has been done before on YouTube, but I haven't seen one here on PMC. This is for all the people, like me, who's internet is too slow for videos. Enjoy, and post any questions you have in the comments below!
1) Download the hacked client you want to install. I suggest wizardhax.com. Be careful not to click on any of the fake (Ad link removed) download buttons~
2) Unzip the file, if necessary. This can be done by right-clicking on a zipped file, and clicking open with, and then archive utility. Archive utility is the default program to unzip files on a Mac, so you should have it already installed.
3) Open Finder, and click Go, and then go to folder. There, you can type in ~/Library/Application Support/minecraft/versions
4) You are now in the versions folder of your Minecraft. Right click in an open spot, and make a new folder. Name the folder the name of your hacked client.
5) Drag the .jar file from your hacked client folder to the folder you just created. Rename the .jar to whatever the name of the folder is.
6) Go back to your versions folder. Find the version of the hacked client you downloaded. Open the folder, and copy the .json file.
7) Paste the .json into your new folder. Rename it to the same thing as the folder name.
8) Right click on the .json, and open with TextEdit. At the top of the long text, it should say id '1.8.8'(or whatever version you are using). Erase the version number in quotes, and type in the name of your new folder.
9) Close out of finder. You won't be needing it any more. Open your Minecraft.
10) Create a new profile. Where it says to select your version, find 'release yournewfoldername'. Now, start up your Minecraft on that profile. You can use your hacked client!

Notice: I no longer recommend using OptiFine in Minecraft 1.15.x.

OptiFine versions since 'HD U F4' prevent X-Ray mods from working, including the X-Ray hack in Wurst.The creator of OptiFine has simply dismissed the issue as 'we don't support hacked clients'.OptiFine 'HD U F3', the last version that didn't have this problem, is not available for Minecraft 1.15.x.

  2. OptiFine version 'HD U G1 pre9', currently the only version available for Minecraft 1.15.x, freezes the game whenever there is a text field on the screen, thereby breaking many of Wurst's and Minecraft's settings. It is currently unclear when OptiFine is going to fix this and whether or not they are even aware of the issue.

  3. Minecraft 1.15 has drastically improved chunk loading performance. OptiFine doesn't really do anything anymore, as its chunk loading improvements are now part of vanilla Minecraft. Wurst has its own zoom that works much better than OptiFine's. The only thing that OptiFine is still needed for is using shaders.

  1. Download OptiFine.

    • Again, make sure that it matches your Minecraft version.
    • Please use OptiFine version 'HD U F3', as newer versions have a bug that prevents X-Ray from working.

  2. Download OptiFabric.

    • It claims to be for Minecraft 1.14.3, but it works for later versions too.

  3. Add OptiFine and OptiFabric to your .minecraft/mods folder.

    • To get to your .minecraft folder, open Windows Explorer and type/copy the following into the address bar: %appdata%/.minecraft
    • (If you are using Linux or Mac then the path to your .minecraft folder will be different. Please Google that part.)

Hacked client Sigma 5.0 for Minecraft 1.8 - 1.15.2 - of course, you can now call it the best hacked client among all existing ones. This is due to the fact that the developer has taken care of saving.
